SKILLS
· Organisational skills: researching, mind mapping, storyboarding, noting down questions before interviewing
· Creativity: writing scripts and articles; directing a short film, producing a themed student magazine, creating original web content to promote an event
· I.T ability: capable and efficient use of Word, Internet Explorer, email, Publisher, PowerPoint, Indesign, Photoshop and experience of Final Cut and Avid to edit films and the 5 minute opening of a documentary we made
· Communication skills: strengthened after liaising with media professionals, involvement in team projects, work experience in journalistic environments and working for various retail and catering companies (Thorntons, Jimmy Spices, Select Flowers, RD Resourcing, At Your Service, Debenhams)
· Production Skills: filming on location and in the studio, vision mixing, VT, editing, writing, interviewing, producing a radio programme/live radio bulletins/pre-recorded news pieces, creating covers, contents and features for various magazines, constructing a commissioned piece, conducting vox pops
· Personal skills: hard-working, determined, highly motivated, reliable, organised, able to work well under pressure/deadlines, work effectively both in a team and individually, passionate about working, willingness to learn/adapt

ACHIEVEMENTS
· One of the press releases I wrote for the Solihull Observer was published in the Thursday 5th July 2007 issue
· Articles I wrote for my production event module were printed in the magazine/online magazine. Several features were published on the website
· My regular fashion piece for Hello Birmingham Magazine was documented on their Facebook page and another published on their website

INTERESTS
· Television: watching intelligent dramas, films, comedy programmes
· Journalism: reading novels, magazines, newspapers, blogs
· New Media: avid user of Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, the internet
· Music: listening to a variety of different genres regularly
· Modelling: photoshoots and catwalks for various projects and events
